Notice: Kids Club operates as a program exempt from licensure with basic health and safety requirements but has no direct oversight by the Department of Education. 

Guidelines

Please review our current guidelines before your first visit with us.

Visits are  limited to maximum stay of 1.5 hours per child.

Kids Club is open to child members only. We are not able to accommodate child guests.

Reservations are required and may be reserved within 72 hours prior to reservation in the member portal.  We are not able to take reservations or cancellations by phone. If you need assistance logging in to the member portal, please contact the member services office.

  • Reservations are limited to a maximum of 1.5 hrs. or 90 min per child/visit.
  • Not able to attend your reservation? Don’t forget to CANCEL your reservation. If you need to cancel a reservation, please cancel your reservation in advance in the member portal. After 3 no show occurrences, a $5 cancellation fee will apply if the reservation is not canceled in advance of the reservation time.
  • If we have a no-show 15mins after reservation time, the spot will be closed and opened to other members.
  • Late Drop-off: Your reservation starts at the reserved time. Reminder: If you drop off late, the reserved pick-up time stays the same.

General Policies

  • Illness Policy: Help us provide a well environment for all in our care. Do not bring your child if they have any of the following symptoms:• A fever • Nose that runs continuously with green or brown tinted nasal discharge • Undiagnosed rashes, sores or other skin conditions • Sore throat • Excessive coughing • Diarrhea or vomiting • Pink eye • Head lice • Any other contagious disease or symptomsIn addition, a child must be non-medicated, fever-free and have stopped diarrhea and vomiting for a full 24 hours before returning to our care. If your child exhibits any of these symptoms while in our care, we will contact you and ask you to remove the child from our care.
  • Parents should bring their children changed with a fresh diaper or pull up. We are not able to provide diaper changes while child is in our care. We will contact the parent to change the diaper. If child is potty-trained, please have them use the restroom prior to drop-off.
  • Parent/guardian must stay on Wellness Center property at all times while child is in our care. Please let our child care team member know where you will be in the facility in the event we need to reach you.
  • Children should be fed prior to visiting the Kids Club. Due to allergies, we do not allow food or beverages other than water in the childcare area.
  • Our team members are not able to accept or administer medication to any child. This includes emergency medication, such as EpiPens.
  • The use of cell phones or other devices to take photos or videos is prohibited in Kids Club.
  • Children should refrain from bringing personal games and toys to Kids Club. Sentara RMH Wellness Center is not liable or responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
  • When able, we may take children to the basketball court, indoor track, activities studio and playground when the weather is nice. For safety reasons, we recommend bringing your child in closed toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals) for activities on the court, track and playground and a light jacket in case we go outside to the playground. Please bring a water bottle or sealable sippy cup labeled with your child’s name.
  • Only authorized guardians on file should drop off and pick-up child from Kids Club.
  • Kids Club team members may contact the parents of children requiring one-to-one supervision or if exhibits undesirable behavior. Kids Club team members will make a reasonable effort to calm and/or redirect a child. Kids Club team members may ask the parent to pick up the child from the Kids Club.
